WHAT I EAT IN A DAY// DR. MACDOUGHALL INSPIRED DIET

Hi everyone!

Here is my Dr. Mcdoughall inspired day of eating and my recipes. His diet is High Carb & Fiber, Low Fat, Salt and Sugar.
I hope you all enjoy some of recipes as much as I do! I love how easy they are to whip up! If you don’t have a pressure cooker then just use a pot for the soup. This soup does get thick if you end up with leftovers. I’s more like a stew which is also fantastic!

My Creamy Pumpkin Mac & Cheese Sauce:

– 1 cup raw cashews
– 1/2 cup warm water
– 1/2 cup dairy free milk of choice. I like Flax or Oat milk.
– 1/4 tsp turmeric
– 1 tsp paprika
– freshly ground pepper to taste
– 3-4 cloves of garlic
– 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
– 1 tbsp miso paste

Add a splash of extra milk if you think it needs it. I prefer my sauce on the thicker side.

Note: If your trying to lose weight then remember Dr.Mcdougall suggests you cut out nuts & tofu from your diet. You can add them back onto your diet in small quantities later on. Also I’d like to point out that I didn’t add any salt to my recipes but the broth I had to use did contain some. I always look for salt free or st least low salt options at the grocery store. I also use use just plain water when I’m being super strict with my diet. I’ve tried to now take the approach of just trying my best even if it’s not perfect.
