The North West provincial health department is rolling out a massive immunisation drive around Rustenburg, following three cases of measles at three different locations in the area. Given the highly contagious nature of the disease, the three children have been hospitalised in isolation wards.
The immunisation campaign at local clinics, creches and primary schools is targeted at children aged from 6 months to 59 months and 5 to 15 years in and around the Luka, Kroondal and Boitekong areas.
