The Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) is working with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) to promote consumer and community awareness and confidence about important new work the AIHW is progressing on developing a National Primary Health Care Data Asset.
It is envisaged that the Data Asset will support a better understanding of what happens to patients in the primary health care system – including their diagnoses, treatments and outcomes by bringing together various sources of primary health care data over time.
This first webinar focuses on issues of privacy, security and patient consent. It features:
Chair: Leanne Wells, CEO of Consumers Health Forum
Michael Frost, Group Head, Primary Health Care and Veterans Group, AIHW
Dr Jan Radford, GP and Associate Professor of General Practice, University of Tasmania
Pip Brennan, Executive Director, Health Consumers Council of WA
Adam Johnston, member of Health Consumers NSW and Consumer Advisor to the Clinical Excellence Commission
Karen Booth, President of the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association
