Life nowadays is getting more and more sedentary and food trends are changing drastically. The important aspect of sedentary lifestyle is Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis. It’s is the energy used by the body to do all day today chores other than sleep, exercise and digestion. This sedentary lifestyle or low NEAT is not only hampering our health but also overrides the benefits of exercise making you obese and creating other issues. NEAT accounts for major part of energy expenditure. So let’s learn about the lifestyle in a NEAT way. Abhishek Dhawan has completed a diploma in diet and nutrition advisor at the centre of excellence and course in Human neuro-anatomy from the University of Michigan. He wrote articles on health and diet.
